Montreal’s Italian Week is now in day five of events and activities.

Italian classic films are being screened at the Casa D’Italia every evening at 7:30PM throughout the festival. Tonight (August 9) the Casa will screen the 1970 Elio Petri film, Indagine di un cittadino al di sopra di ogni sospetto. Tomorrow (August 10) the feature film presented will be Nanni Moretti’s Bianca, first released in 1984. Admission is free.

A guided tour of the newly renovated Casa D’Italia will be on the agenda for tomorrow. The tour starts at 2:30PM and is free of charge. And in the evening at 7:30PM, also at the Casa D’Italia, the Associazione dei Professori di Italiano del Quebec (APIQ) presents a conference titled, Il mito dei Paladini di Franci nell’imaginario italiano. Admission is also free. For more information on both activities, please call (514) 271-2524.

Italian Week heads to St Leonard tomorrow. At 2:00PM, a free outdoor concert by Jeannette Peluso will take place at Les Jardins d’Italie, located at 5650 rue du Hautbois.

And starting tomorrow, and until Friday, August 12, at 7:00PM, a bocce tournament will be in play at St Leonards’s Parc Delorme. The competition is sure to be fierce as many diehard bocce players take to the park on any summer evening to play.

Montreal’s Italian Week runs until Sunday, August 14. For a detailed program, please visit the festival’s official website at www.italianweek.ca.
