Vincenzo Thoma performing at Rialto Theatre

      Jul. 4, 2012

Montreal singer/songwriter Vincenzo Thoma will be headlining an Italian themed concert this coming Friday at Montreal’s Rialto Theatre.

Soirée Viva l’Italia avec Vincenzo Thoma will feature Thoma and his band, along with invited guests Marie-Élaine Thibert and Jean Sébastien Lavoie.

Thoma was born in Rome, Italy and immigrated to Montreal in 1994. Since then he has made a name for himself as a songwriter, singer, musician and composer. He has worked with the likes of Lara Fabian, Marie-Élaine Thibert, Roch Voisine, Dan Bigras, Patrick Fiori, Ima and Bruno Pelletier.

His latest album, Romantico, features ten of the greatest love songs of the past thirty years, adapted in Italian for the first time ever. Thoma is both the translator and the singer on each track – which includes songs by Sting, Bryan Adams, Elton John, George Michael, and Phil Collins. The album also features the Italian version of Tous les visages de l’amour in which Thoma shares singing duties with Sonia Benezra.

Soirée Viva l’Italia avec Vincenzo Thoma takes place this Friday, July 6 at 8:00PM at the Rialto Theatre, located at 5723 Ave Du Parc in Montreal’s Mileend. Tickets cost $30.00 and can be purchased by calling the Rialto Theatre box office at (514) 770-7773, or by calling Ticketpro at (514) 790-1111.
