      Aug. 1, 2012

After a five-year absence stand up comic Joe Avati returns to Canada will his “Back To Basics” World Tour.

Born and raised in Australia, Joe Avati’s take on growing up in a Calabrese household has kept people laughing out loud for over fifteen years. An Italian community favorite down under, Avati’s repertoire would soon go viral when in 2000 he posted some of his stand up bits on the now defunct Napster. Turns out that Avati’s stories resonated with all children of Italian immigrants – no matter where they were born and rasied. It wouldn’t be long before Avati would headline shows across North America.
