The festivities continue in Little Italy today for day nine of Montreal’s Italian Week. Things get underway at noonish, as dozens of kiosks open up for business. The kiosks along Boulevard St-Laurent feature community groups, cultural organizations, art and literary programs, product displays, entertainment and more.

Nonna Maria makes her first appearance in Little Italy today, starting at 1:00PM. This year she’s promoting her latest invention: the MutandiWOW, a must have in any Italian household. Nonna Maria will be at her kiosk from 1:00PM to 10:00PM today, and then from 4:00PM to 10:00PM tomorrow.

The Association of Italian Canadian Writers will be hosting readings and a panel on the internment of Italian Canadians during the Second World War from 1:30PM to 4:00PM in the park gazebo at the corner of Saint-Laurent and Saint-Zotique.

The big show of the evening will take place on the Loto-Quebec Stage at corner of St-Laurent and St-Zotique. Singer Chris Giannini will start things off at 7:30PM, followed by local comedian Joe Cacchione, and then singer Giovanni Miani. The annual Moda Sotto le Stelle fashion show, featuring Italian- Canadian designers, will then take center stage at 10:00PM.
