      Montreal’s Italian Week: It’s a Wrap

After ten days of festivities all over the city, Montreal’s Italian Week wrapped things up last night with a spectacular outdoor performance of Gaetano Donizetti’s opera, L’Elisir d’amore.

The final three days of activities in Little Italy can be culminated as a grand success with tens of thousands of visitors enjoying the entertainment, food, and community offered up by the various participating groups and organizations. Even Nonna Maria and friends made an appearance with their MutandiWOW stand. And lest we forget, the first ever “Best Tiramisu” award went to Patisserie La Conca d’Oro.

Auguri to Josie Verrillo and her organizing team from the Quebec Chapter of the National Congress of Italian Canadians for all their hard work. Kudos to all the volunteers for their tireless work.

      See you all next year!
