Amabile FashionsMontreal’s Italian Week festivities continue in Little Italy today and tomorrow. All afternoon and evening, over 60 kiosks lined up along Boulevard St-Laurent, between Beaubien and Jean Talon streets, will be on hand to entertain one and all. There’s something for every taste… art displays, activities for kids (and adults), culture, literature, theatre, food, entertainment… and even scopa! Many Little Italy eateries and cafés have expanded seating space for the occasion.

For a second year in a row, Italocanadese and the Order of the Sons of Italy in Canada, in collaboration with Montreal’s Italian Week, present the Scopa tournament. The elimination rounds start this afternoon. The semi-finals and finals rounds will take place tomorrow afternoon. Even if you are not playing in the tournament, you can still sit down and enjoy a friendly hand of scopa with friends or other festival goers. Look out for the Scopa Tent on Boulevard St-Laurent, just north of St-Zotique.

Nonna Maria, everyone’s favorite puppet, will make the rounds of the festival this afternoon. She is always ready for a photo op. Don’t be shy.

All eyes will be on fashion this evening, as the festival’s Moda Sotto le Stelle fashion show takes over the Loto-Québec Stage,
at the corner of Boulevard St-Laurent and St Zotique. The fashion show gets under way at 10:00PM. Participating designers include Sicily Clothing, Maria Arciero Design, Lauro & Co., Signor Terry, Amabile Fashions, Rinascimento, Maska, Imperial Skai and NZ Argento.

At 8:30PM, before the fashion show gets underway, Anna Liani will perform a selection of her musical repertoire.
