In the kitchen with SandraWhile pork osso bucco was only rarely found at your local butcher, it has recently become a cut of meat readily available in your grocery store. A rather inexpensive cut when used in recipes, it can outshine even its beef counterpart. Testing many recipes with it in the slow cooker I have not once been disappointed with the results. A fall off the bone delight!

      A Very Fragrant Osso Bucco

      INGREDIENTS
1 can coconut milk (398 ml)
      ¼ cup tomato paste
      2 tsp fresh, grated ginger
      2 tsp garlic powder
      1 tbsp curry powder
½ bunch Coriander, washed and coarsely chopped
      5-6 small pork osso bucco
      Salt and pepper to taste
5-6 small potatoes, peeled and quartered

In a large bowl add the coconut milk and tomato paste. Mix well. Next, add the grated ginger, garlic powder and curry powder. Mix again. Add the coriander, the pork, salt and pepper and the potatoes. Gently mix until everything is evenly coated. Transfer this mixture into your slow cooker. Cook on high for about five hours. Turn off the slow cooker and let stand for about 15 minutes with the lid off.

Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy with a side salad and a delicious loaf of crusty bread!

Be sure to time this meal ready for supper!
